To remind me that this is my life, and my story. When I look at this, I remember that I am strong, and that I, not those around me, am responsible for my own happiness. And by that same token, no one can bring me down. I’ve got this; I don’t need to be saved.

Thanks to James at Tar Heel Tattoo for this amazing work.

Back to Basics

So, I’m back.

After a WHILE of not posting, I come back to you!

I’m kind of glad that I wasn’t posting during my junior year. Growing up, I always thought 16, and my junior year of high school would be the craziest and most adventurey. It really was. A total both good and bad year. Through my first year of the IB diploma and Ray, this year:

-nights of two hours of sleep

-7 hr phone calls

-a trip to Disneyland

-Greek dancing and FDF

-no orchestra

-IB work

-IB work

-IB work

-really finding out who my true friends are

You know how there is always a year in people’s lives where they really learn something? Whether it’s about love, family, traditions, friends, being an outcast, and having way too much fun, while they’re on this adventure, they learn a certain truth about themselves.

My junior year was one of those. And I learned a certain truth about who I am, who I can love, and who I can trust.

My dearest friends: Alicia, Carina, Teresa, and Natalie ♥♥

Boys: You suck. A lot. Testosterone-filled, arrogant, stereotyping, unapologetic, asses. But I know that some of you can really be there for me.

Future: I can’t wait.
Well actually, I can. This one thing I understand is that I need to value each moment. I have a year left with these wonderful people, and my family before I leave for college and new everything. College can wait.

I just want to focus on enjoying the life that’s apart from all that. Summer is here.

and as Alicia told me, giving me her peals of wisdom before I walked in to do my IOC, “Today president of Interact, tomorrow the world. You are woman of the world.”

Just enjoy life guys.
